1st and 5th classes used their maths skills today to plant spring bulbs.  First of all they had to plan where the bulbs were going to be sown.  The next step was to measure the length of the bed.  Following much discussion, the children decided on a pattern - daffodil, snowdrop, bluebell.  They agreed to plant the bulbs in sets of 3. Lastly, they measured the distance between each set, so that there would be enough bulbs for the full bed.
