The children picked the apples from the school garden, peeled and chopped them and made delicious apple crumble. Well done Rang 2!

First class have planted a variety of vegetables and herbs.
First Class have read this story about a young boy called Stanley Lambchop. The class decided to make their own Flat Stanleys and post them to their friends and relatives all over Ireland and the world. Have a look at all the people and places Flat Stanley has visited so far.

This is my Flat Stanley, he enjoyed his break away in Portugal. He went swimming in the sea and pool with me. He enjoyed making sand castles in the sand too. I took him sightseeing in Lagos, and to play Crazy Golf.

Bonjour! First class were learning all about France this month. They are looking forwarding to presenting their projects to the other classes in the school after Easter. Au revoir.
Telling the time
First class made their own clocks to help them tell the time
Trail to the Station House
As part of SESE, the class went on a trail to the Station House Hotel in Kilmessan. The children explored the grounds of the hotel. They looked at plants, trees, flowers, walls, the stone bridge, the signal house, the signage, the shapes of the windows of the various buildings. They enjoyed the trail and had great fun while learning.
Exploring capacity
The class were learning about measuring capacity. They estimated the capacity of a variety of containers. They then measured the capacity using millilitres and litres. In groups, they sorted the containers according to their capacity.
